Welcome to New Fairfield
Fairfield County Connecticut
In the early 1700s Fairfield pioneers purchased land
from Squanz, Chief of the Schaghticoke Indians and named the settlement
New Fairfield. Bounded on the north by Sherman, on the east by
Litchfield Bount and the town of Brookfield, on the south by Danbury and
on the west by Putnam County, New York, New Fairfield is a place of
uncommon natural beauty in all seasons with some of the area’s most
desirable beachfront residential properties as well as private and
public beaches. New Fairfield is known for its excellent schools,
reasonable taxes, good recreational facilities, and great commuting
routes to Westchester and lower Fairfield County.
